The morning covers the two Winter Games in the village; the afternoon moves into Lake Placid's sliding and Nordic landscape.

Saturday route

Olympic Center → Mt Van Hoevenberg

The ski jumps can replace Mt Van Hoevenberg for a shorter afternoon. Whiteface and a High Peaks trail each need a separate mountain day.

Friday

Marcy Restaurant and the Mirror Lake loop.

After check-in, walk the 2.7-mile shoreline loop if daylight allows, then have dinner at Marcy Restaurant near the Olympic Center.

Saturday

Two Olympic campuses, one complete day.

Tour the Olympic Center and museum in the morning. After lunch, drive roughly fifteen minutes to Mt Van Hoevenberg for the sliding track, Nordic stadium, and wooded campus.

10:00 AM

Main activity

Olympic Center morning; Mt Van Hoevenberg afternoon.

Allow about ninety minutes for the Olympic Museum and arena district. After lunch, continue to Mt Van Hoevenberg and follow the posted visitor schedule for the sliding and Nordic campus.

4:30 PM

Afternoon

Return from Mt Van Hoevenberg before dinner.

Return to the village before dinner; event traffic and seasonal road conditions can change the drive time.

Sunday

Fresh Tracks and the Adirondack Rail Trail.

Start with breakfast at Fresh Tracks, then take a short Adirondack Rail Trail out-and-back from Station Street before the drive home.
